Laser hair removal harnesses the power of light to safely destroy dark pigment in hair follicles, inhibiting future growth. It is safe for all skin tones and can produce lasting results.
Treatment is fast and painless; cooling spray is applied to reduce discomfort; many compare the feeling to that of snapping rubber bands on your skin.

Restoration & Rejuvenation
Laser hair removal is an efficient, safe, and noninvasive way to eliminate unwanted body hair. This procedure uses pulses of laser energy to destroy pigment in hair follicles causing them to stop producing new hair growth – perfect for patients wanting to reduce time spent shaving, tweezing or using depilatory creams – it even works for people with darker skin tones!
At first, goggles will be worn to shield your eyes from the laser beam and topical anesthetic applied before beginning treatment. Although you may experience some discomfort during the procedure, typically less so than waxing or tweezing due to laser beam delivery in short pulses with minimal pain intensity.
Cooling spray is also used to alleviate the sensation caused by laser therapy, with some people comparing its sensation to that of hot rubber bands snapping against your skin. Although this sensation may last up to several days after use, it should not be uncomfortable or bothersome.
Hair removal requires multiple sessions of treatment – typically six or more sessions – in order to permanently eliminate and prevent its return. After treatment, some redness or swelling may appear but should subside over the following days. It is best to avoid sun exposure and moisturize regularly to minimize these side effects as much as possible; consider anti-inflammatory medication as needed as well.
Cost of laser hair removal varies based on factors such as treatment area size, number of treatments necessary and geographic location. Overall though, it can be more cost-effective than other forms of hair removal and can save money over time. It also offers greater comfort than shaving that may cause razor burn and ingrown hairs while being less invasive than electrolysis that may lead to redness and stinging in treated areas.
Skin Tightening
Aging is a natural process, with changes you cannot influence (such as fine lines and wrinkles) as well as those you can such as loose or crepey skin that you can tighten with nonsurgical procedures. If loose skin makes you self-conscious about your appearance, nonsurgical tightening procedures could provide relief.
Laser skin tightening treatments use laser light to heat deeper layers of the skin and cause its collagen fibers to partially denaturate and contract, creating firmer texture in your skin. In addition, this also stimulates natural healing processes by drawing in fibroblasts to lay down new collagen that improves firmness in skin texture.
Radiofrequency skin tightening is another popular skin tightening treatment, using radio waves to heat your skin and promote collagen and elastin production, thus giving it firmer and younger appearance.
Facelift surgery can be an excellent solution for those struggling with excess or sagging skin on their neck and jawline, providing a sleeker appearance by tightening the skin and facial muscles below it. A facelift also works to correct any signs of aging such as diminished volume in cheeks or lips as well.
Though you will notice immediate improvements from your procedure, results will continue to improve as new collagen and elastin produced by your body takes hold. Regular maintenance appointments should be scheduled to keep your skin looking its best.
Preparing for laser hair removal treatments requires eliminating skincare products containing retinol or any ingredients which might make you sensitive to light energy used during laser hair removal treatments. Furthermore, two weeks prior to your appointment it is advisable to stop taking any medication that contains tetracycline or doxycycline as these may have unwanted side effects; also avoid taking ibuprofen or aspirin as these can thin your blood and may lead to unwanted side effects; additionally our office should be informed immediately if an active tan or sunburn can alter skin sensitivity sensitivity levels during treatments; finally it should be remembered that laser hair removal treatments will grow back over time –
Skin Resurfacing
Laser treatment is the most efficient method for eliminating unwanted hair. Compared with shaving or waxing, which may result in ingrown hairs and razor burn, laser hair removal treatment is clean and virtually pain-free, plus can be performed either periodically or permanently – being especially popular on facial, underarm and leg treatments.
Before initiating treatment, your physician will carefully inspect the area you would like treated and take an in-depth medical history history including any previous skin problems, medications you are taking and how you respond to sun exposure.
At least one week prior to your laser treatment, it is best to limit direct sun exposure and apply sunscreen liberally. Your doctor will also instruct you on how to cleanse and moisturize the treated area after each laser session in order to promote healing. Healing times typically range from five-21 days; this may differ depending on individual circumstances.
There are various lasers used for skin resurfacing, including both ablative and non-ablative lasers. Ablative lasers create wounds which heal to produce new cells while non-ablative lasers treat only the surface layer without actually harming any of it.
Non-ablative lasers tend to be safer, yet still cause some discomfort and can be more expensive than their ablative counterparts. Before your treatment starts, your physician will identify which laser is appropriate for you.
After your laser treatment, your skin may appear sunburned for two to four weeks as it heals, becoming red or swollen during this time. To protect itself from infection, it’s essential that picking at or scratching treated areas is avoided at all costs, while sun exposure must be reduced accordingly as hypersensitive skin requires extra protection.
If you are considering laser hair removal treatment, it is imperative that you choose an experienced physician with all of the relevant certifications. Check that they are accredited by one or more of these organizations: American Board of Plastic Surgery; American Board of Dermatology or American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology. It might also be beneficial to speak to previous patients who have undergone your procedure to gain additional insights.
