The Tria 4X is the first FDA-approved at-home laser hair removal device that utilizes real diode laser technology – more effective and safer than IPL laser technology.
To use, activate and place the device against your skin. Its sensor will read your skin tone, and if safe it will beep and unlock.
Darker Skin Tones
FDA-approved and dermatologist-endorsed technology from IPL Laser Hair Removal Solutions is not only safe but also highly effective at hair removal; users will experience significant results after just eight treatments compared to salon or clinic-based laser hair removal services.
At-home devices use laser light technology to target melanin in each hair follicle and destroy its pigment (color), giving each hair its individual hue. Since it won’t harm surrounding skin or other hairs, dark-hued tones like black, dark brown and even some gray can benefit as long as there is not too much white or blonde mixed in with them.
Importantly, an at-home device designed for light hair tones should not be used as it could result in scarring and blistering. Furthermore, its use cannot be recommended on blonde, red or other light hued locks due to insufficient melanin absorption by these colors to block enough laser energy and permanently disable it.
There are other laser-based hair removal devices on the market that are capable of targeting lighter shades of hair as well as different skin tones, though these will usually only be found at clinics and require consultation prior to being used at home; furthermore, these options tend to be more costly than Tria hair removal laser 4x devices.
Before using the Tria device, users must first wash, shave and dry the area they intend to treat. They then must unlock their device by placing the Skin Sensor over it – once this step has been taken successfully it should emit beeps to indicate compatibility before unlocking itself.
This feature provides an extremely useful safety measure that helps prevent mishaps during home use and is an advantage over many IPL or laser hair removal devices that aren’t appropriate for darker skin tones.
Lighter Skin Tones
The Tria Precision and 4X both use FDA-approved diode laser technology that’s approved by dermatologists, making them safe for most skin and hair tones including those with dark complexions. Unlike IPL devices that emit waves of energy at one time, laser emits continuous pulses which disable hair follicles without harming surrounding tissue; small portable home use; less costly than salon treatments
On top of the device is an LED display that lets you control intensity level, monitor battery life and count laser pulses. There’s also a button for activating laser. At the base of the device is a skin tone sensor which reads treatment area skin tones before emitting beeps if safe to use; any darker moles or tattoos should be covered first with white circle stickers before proceeding with laser treatment.
While most user reviews praise this device for being pain-free, some may experience slight discomfort when they zap a hair follicle with light energy, which converts into heat that causes a burning sensation on your skin. To reduce discomfort during treatment, coolant or numbing gel could be applied beforehand to your skin before treating for optimal results.
After about eight sessions with Tria, most people should start noticing results – however this time frame may vary for different people. You will begin noticing a reduction in both hair count and thickness; finer, softer and lighter colored remaining hair; eventually shaving may no longer be required completely – only occasional top-up sessions may remain.
Tria claims its device can give permanent hair reduction results, an assurance often made by aesthetic clinics offering laser hair removal services. Unfortunately, however, this claim was based on research conducted in 2012 by one individual without verification or publication; while most professional laser hair removal clinics don’t guarantee such permanent reduction results from their treatments.
Medium Skin Tones
If you have medium skin tones, the Tria hair removal laser 4x should work effectively for you. It has received FDA clearance and boasts some of the strictest safety protocols among home optical hair removal devices (even superior than Silk’n Infinity!). Use it on both face and body.
This device utilizes diode laser technology to remove unwanted hair, making it one of the best available at high-end salons and dermatologist offices. Furthermore, its effectiveness requires less sessions than other forms of laser hair removal treatments; furthermore, the device includes a cooling device to help make treatment more comfortable for you.
To reduce any risks of pigmentation changes or burning, both the Tria and Silk’n Infinity devices come equipped with an inbuilt skin tone sensor that checks your complexion before unlocking them. If it doesn’t match up with Fitzpatrick scale criteria, an audible warning will alert users not to use the device – keeping everyone safe, including those with darker skin tones who would otherwise experience pain or damage from laser hair removal.
Once your device is unlocked, choose your power setting before pressing its tip against your skin where you would like to remove hair. After hearing two beeps, the device will begin its work of eliminating unwanted hair. Adjustments to strengthen or weaken its laser light are possible according to user preference; most experts advise starting out on lower levels before gradually increasing them until desired results have been attained.
Many find the device slightly painful, though your pain threshold will ultimately determine its intensity. Some have described the sensation as sharp burning that bites; others have described it as moderate pain with “light to moderate intensity,” and have recommended ice or lidocaine to manage discomfort.
As your skin adjusts to treatment, the pain should gradually subside. Some individuals notice results after just one session while most require approximately 8 treatments before seeing full results. After that point, touch-up treatments every few months may be needed in order to keep skin looking its best.
Lighter Hair Tones
If your skin tone is lighter than light brown, this device won’t work. Instead, it only works on darker hair because its contrast creates the ideal conditions for selective thermolysis to occur and remove unwanted hair from the body using diode laser light, which attracts pigment. As such, diode laser light attracts pigment, leading it to deactivate or slow down hair follicle growth rate and consequently remove unwanted hairs from body surfaces.
It is recommended to conduct treatments every two weeks until you achieve the results you are seeking, with most people seeing significant change within 3-6 months. While this process is safe and straightforward, be wary when using it; always follow manufacturer’s instructions for safe usage and don’t exceed recommended limits of usage.
Tria Beauty 4x laser hair removal devices are generally safe for most skin tones and Fitzpatrick skin types 1 through 4. They may even be used with confidence on Fitzpatrick skin types 1 through 4!
However, this does not work on blond, red or grey hair because these shades do not contain enough pigment for laser treatment to attract. Furthermore, this cannot treat areas above cheekbones (in women) or neck (in men), since these spots contain too much darkness for laser treatment.
This home device uses diode laser technology, which is more potent than IPL (intense pulsed light) technology found in other at-home laser hair removal devices. As such, it makes this home device more effective on those compatible with it; indeed it bypasses limitations associated with other at-home lasers in that it can even be used on those with dark hair and light skin as long as their skin tone and hair color fit within its guidelines.
Tria is an effective device and its results are comparable to what you’d find at reputable aesthetic clinics, although Tria doesn’t claim permanent hair reduction like those clinics do. Yet user reviews demonstrate its success; continue your regular sessions until your hair thinning stops necessitating top-up sessions altogether.
